MARCH 10th - Meeting held in Amarillo titled "What happened to my gas contract". Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association started a sponsorship effort but then backed out and has continued to distance itself from direct sponsorship or advocacy.  Primary speaker was Mike Branschbach, of Midland (mikeb@mbanchbach.com).  Meeting focused on pipeline operations and methods gatherers use to gain advantage over producers.  Mike made first mention of protest procedure with RRC.

March - In response to the attention raised by the first meeting and the efforts of a few producers, DCP sends Mike Cobb (contracts manager) and Francisco Uzatequi (vp) to meet with selected member of PPROA.

Cobb and Uzatequi also met face to face with Rob McGarraugh and John Bozeman.  DCP was adament that they had the right and the need to force these contracts on all producers.
